We offer Residential Fire Sprinkler protection in 100% of homes we build.Below is a listing of what is included in ‘The Fortress Package’. It is a collaborative initiative developed by Gold Seal Homes and our trade partners.  For it’s efforts to improve home fire safety, Gold Seal was awarded the 2008 Calgary Region SAM award for BEST INNOVATIVE IDEA / PRODUCT.

  • Fully operational Automated Sprinkler System
  • Integrated home security system
  • Monitored Smoke Detector and hard wired detector on each level
  • Carbon Monoxide Detector on bedroom level(s)
  • R40 Ceiling insulation & 12″ airspace protects sprinkler system and increased energy savings
  • Home escape plan provided to the homeowner
  • Two Class ABC fire extinguishers installed in home
  • Triple pane windows on side elevations to reduce effects of radiant heat
  • Solid Soffit in eaves on side elevations to reduce effects of neighbouring fires
  • Backup LED lighting in hallways with rechargeable emergency flashlight
  • Full height tile behind stove and cook top areas
  • stairways and hallways typiclly wider than code requirements
  • Egress hinges on all Bedroom windows
  • Over-sized basement windows for safe egress from home in time of emergency
  • Insulated & Drywalled Garages
